Starting July 23, Thursday landscape classes will start again. Instruction based on what you ask for.

We go places nearby– sometimes wild places like Mt Diablo, sometimes a street corner in West Berkeley, sometimes mixed places like Miller-Knox Shoreline. You pick a series of 4 or of 8 classes.

Start date: when you sign up, and 4 or 8 sessions after.

These classes are for people who

may have painted but want to try landscape;
would like help with plein air techniques;
want guidance getting past the rough in;
would like to enhance their voice.

You pick your medium. We communicate individually so you get the right equipment and materials for your preference. There will be a demonstration, tips on starting, pitfalls to avoid and guidance along the way.

I pick locations that work for the group. We go to places nearby, where there is wildness, but also a bit of city. No long walks with heavy equipment. We meet at each spot twice, to get to know the location. Most locations within 30 minute drive from Berkeley.

I spend individual time with you on site. You see how others approach the material. Whether you are new to landscape painting or experienced, you gain a new perspective
