A trio of well-lit outdoor boxes on busy Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley’s Gourmet Ghetto shows three of my Rock City series. Rock City is a place of giant weathered rocks at Mt Diablo State Park. A place where first people gathered for ceremony and acorn-grinding. Shaded by oaks growing between the rocks, now families picnic and play hide and seek. I find the silvery light mysterious.
